3 years ago, when Pastor Thompson heard about 100 hoondok, he got many testimonies from our Philippine families and suggested we all do it. Over a 3 month period, 200 of us read 100 hoondok. There were many little miracles of new family bonding, of giving up bad habits, of enjoying reading together, of cutting out TV, and of cutting out radio talk shows. For me, the miracles were all those things plus my internal commitment to read aloud every day for the rest of my life. I felt so much joy from the out loud reading, and I was retired with time on my hands. So I felt no better way to spend 90 minutes a day. When I complete my reading condition daily, everything goes well. I meet good people, checks come in the mail, my car gets fixed, and my grandson telephones me.
